sewing machine cover

I first saw this fabric last April but at $14/metre there was no way I could buy any. However, last week I found 2 metres of it for 50% off the clearance price so it was $2/metre - score!

If I had a whole nursery to decorate for a girl I'd love to base it off this fabric. I think it's pretty but modern at the same time.

Because I don't have the above I decided to use some of it to make a cover for my sewing machine to keep dust and little fingers away.

There are lots of tutorials out there on the web but for this one I just did my own thing.
A did one long piece draped from front to back.
I decided to have it tie on this side instead of the needle side to keep the boys fingers safe.
Then sewed a piece on the other side.
And voila, all done!

  1. Love the fabric. I've been meaning to make one of those for a while. You inspired me to get one done.
