I gave this tutorial from Home Sweet Homebodies a try. I used the small pattern to make the first pair (on the top left) but found they seemed a bit big for a newborn so I made the other 2 pairs slightly smaller. I used scraps of cotton fabric that I already had so this project didn't cost me anything!
